Introduction▾

This programme prepares learners to assist electricians with low voltage electrical installations and maintenance. Participants will develop practical skills in wiring, circuit testing, and safety procedures essential for residential and commercial electrical work.

Purpose▾

The purpose of this skills programme is to prepare a learner to operate as an Electrician's Assistant for Low Voltage Systems. An Electrician's Assistant assists electricians with low voltage electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work. The qualifying learner will know the function and operating requirements for low voltage assistance; applying, exercising, and complying with safety, health, and environmental requirements, in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and organisational procedures, policies, codes of practice, standards and agreements.
